Nestling along the River Sile, Treviso is known as little Venice or the water city. Canals, frescoed palaces and charming alleys are just some aspects of this city that you’ll love, as well as numerous “osterie” (pubs) to drink a glass of fine wine or an aperol spritz and to sample the original Tiramisu or various “cicchetti” (finger food), including outdoors while enjoying the Italian sun.
If you have a whole day available, you can visit other walled towns such as Castelfranco Veneto and Conegliano, or some of the most beautiful ancient hamlets in Italy such as Asolo or even admire the masterpieces of Canova at his house and museum and the Venetian villas of Palladio at Maser and Emo.
